异常高压又称超压。相对于静水压力,沉积盆地可出现异常低压和超压,二者统称为异常压力。当孔隙流体压力高于静水压力时称为超压,其上限为地层破裂压力。 异常高压与油气成藏具有密切的联系,是油气运移、聚集的重要动力,然而,过高的异常压力将会破坏油气成藏环境的平衡。在不同的沉积盆地中,异常高压的成因机制有所不同,但都受其所在盆地地层的沉积、成岩和构造作用的影响。
