A new kind of anionic trisiloxane surfactant(ATSS) was synthesized by the ring-opening reaction of maleic anhydride(MA) with hydroxyl terminated polyether group trisiloxane(HPETS). HPETS was prepared by hydrosilylation from 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyltrisiloxane(MDHM) and allyl polyoxyethylene ether(APE) in the presence of platinum catalyst.
