应力松驰(stress relaxation)是指构件总变形(弹性变形和塑性变形)保持不变，徐蠕变使塑性变形不断增加，弹性变形相应减少，而应力随时间缓慢降低的现象。它往往会带来不利影响，如高压蒸汽管道中，法兰紧固螺栓的锁紧力可能随时间降低，故每隔一段时间需拧紧一次，以防漏气。
