平流层（stratosphere），亦称同温层，是地球大气层里上热下冷的一层，此层被分成不同的温度层，当中高温层置于顶部，而低温层置于低部。它与位于其下贴近地表的对流层刚好相反，对流层是上冷下热的。在中纬度地区，平流层位于离地表10公里至50公里的高度，而在极地，此层则始于离地表8公里左右。
