巴勒斯坦解放组织（Palestine Liberation Organization）：简称巴解（PLO）。1964年5月在耶路撒冷成立。1974年10月在第7次阿拉伯首脑会议上被确认为巴人民的唯一合法代表。同年11月，被邀请以观察员身份参加联合国会议。1976年8月被接纳为不结盟运动正式成员，同年9月，被接纳为阿拉伯国家联盟正式成员。巴解曾以黎巴嫩、约旦为基地在被占领土开展武装斗争。
