约翰·巴丁 (John Bardeen) 美国物理学家，电气工程师。唯一一位两次获得诺贝尔物理学奖章的得主。1956年同W·H·布喇顿和W·肖克莱因发明晶体管获得诺贝尔物理学奖，1972年，同L·N·库珀和J·R·施里弗因提出低温超导理论获得诺贝尔物理学奖。
他认定库珀不行，所以库珀离开了普林斯顿，去了伊利诺伊州，在那里他遇到了巴丁（Bardeen）和施里弗（Schrieffer），结果他们三个共同给出了超导性的正确理论，而这正是基于库珀的那个想法。
