工业会计是工业部门专业会计。以会计学原理为理论指导，采用货币量度，对工业企业生产经营活动及其成果，进行连续、系统、全面和综合地反映与控制的管理活动。工业企业经济管理重要内容和提供工业经济信息的重要方式。其反映和控制的主要内容：在生产经营过程中固定资产、材料、生产费用、产品成本、在产品、自制半成品、产成品、货币资金、销售收入、财务成果及各项专用基金，会计报表的编制等。
