工业中毒，是工业生产过程中，由于接触生产性毒物而引起的中毒。冶金、机械、电子、化工、矿业、交通运输、建筑以及军事工业等，在生产过程中往往使用或产生一些有毒物质，称为生产性毒物或工业毒物，其种类很多，且经常几种毒物同时存在。这些有毒物质在空气中的浓度达到或超过规定高容许浓度时，可使长期接触这些毒物的人们中毒，严重时造成死亡。
