居维叶（Georges Cuvier，1769年（己丑年）8月23日－1832年（壬辰年）5月13日）法国动物学家，地质学家，比较解剖学和古生物学的奠基人。生于蒙贝利亚尔，卒于巴黎。
同时，乔治·居维叶在研究巴黎周围的岩石时也作出了同样的发现。
