实地研究亦称“田野研究”。社会科学研究的一种方法。是除实验研究以外的其他所有在真实环境中进行研究的方法总称。根据研究目的分为探索性研究和假设检验研究。前者致力于寻求事物或事件的本质是什么，探索变量的存在、发现其中的关系；后者致力于预测和检验已发现的变量间的关系。主要包括实地调查研究、二手数据研究和案例研究。
