安全钩（carabiner），也叫“主锁”，是用以连接绳索、扁带与锚点、器材等最常用的连接工具。安全钩环需附锁闭功能。锁闭功能分为手转锁与自动上锁两类。手转锁适合大部分的环境使用，但在连接后必须即刻上锁，否则在操作过程中可能因不慎的器材碰撞导致锁门开启而发生意外。未上锁的钩环，就如同闸门开启的状态，它的拉力（破断负荷）远低于已上锁的状态。分普通式（旋转式）和弹簧钩（自锁式）两种。外形多如“D”（救援、军事）、“8”字形（工程、建筑）。
