学规是古代学校规章之总称。初仅为对弟子在学思想行为准则之规定，如战国时期的《弟子职》。宋代以后，扩展为学校和书院的规章制度，包括办学的宗旨和基本原则，课程设置、教学组织和成绩考核，学官和掌教的职责， 弟子的行为规则等。宋明时期书院的学规，侧重对学子为学、进德的目标、原则及方法的指导，如《白鹿洞书院揭示》。明清时期官学学规，偏重对学子思想行为的规范和限制，如《卧碑》、《圣谕广训》等。
