季节性情绪失调(Seasonal Affective Disorder,简称SAD),在国外经常把它俗称为“冬季忧郁症”,是通常发生于秋季末和冬季的一种感情的或者情绪的失调。大多数的SAD患者在一年的大部分时间都有良好的健康状态,但在白天越来越短,黑夜越来越长的季节会感到忧郁的症状。在热带,SAD即便存在也很少见。但在北纬30度以北或者南纬30度以南,SAD显著存在。冬季忧郁症在斯堪地纳维亚人中很普遍,公元六世纪的哥特学者在其著作中首次描述了SAD。科学认为,季节性的情绪波动同阳光有很大关系。
