孔率就是多空物质的孔在整个物体中占有的体积或重量的比值。多孔材料的孔率，又称孔隙率、孔隙度或气孔率，系指多孔体中孔隙所占体积与多孔体总体积之比率，一般以百分数来表示，也可采用小数。该指标既是多孔材料中最易测量、最易获得的基本参量，同时也是决定多孔材料导热性、导电性、光学行为、声学性能、拉压强度、蠕变率等物理、力学性能的关键因素。
