子宫内膜层（endometrium，uterine endome- trium）是指构成哺乳类子宫内壁的一层。对雌激素和孕激素都起反应，因此可随着性周期（发情周期、月经周期）发生显著的变化。 子宫内膜分为功能层和基底层2层。内膜表面2/3为致密层和海绵层统称功能层，受卵巢性激素影响发生周期变化而脱落。基底层为靠近子宫肌层的1/3内膜，不受卵巢性激素影响，不发生周期性的变化。
