失重法是指测量物质样品质量变化、研究物质热分解性质的方法。失重法分为等温和不等温（温度以某一恒定速度上升）热失重两种。等温热失重法采用普通天平就可以测定热分解的失重过程。通常将被测物保存于恒温箱中，定期取出称重。
