太阳运动，是指太阳相对于本地静止标准的运动，也叫太阳本动。1783年，F.W.赫歇耳分析天狼、北河二、北河三、南河三、轩辕十四、大角和河鼓二这7颗恒星的自行,认为它们的运动趋向是太阳空间运动的反映，并指出太阳朝向武仙座运动。1837年,阿格兰德尔根据390个恒星的自行资料，证实了F.W.赫歇耳的结论。
