天沟指建筑物屋面两胯间的下凹部分。屋面排水分有组织排水和无组织排水(自由排水)，有组织排水一般是把雨水集到天沟内再由雨水管排下，集聚雨水的沟就被称为天沟，天沟分内天沟和外天沟，内天沟是指在外墙以内的天沟，一般有女儿墙;外天沟是挑出外墙的天沟，一般没女儿墙。天沟 多用白铁皮或石棉水泥制成。 在建筑上，天沟的工程量按设计尺寸以体积计算，不扣除构件内钢筋及预埋铁件体积。
