大连大学图书馆是1995年由原大连大学工学院图书馆、大连大学医学院图书馆及大连大学师范学院图书馆合并而成，于1995年建成并使用，总建筑面积21550.6平方米，图书分藏五个库室，均实行开架借阅。馆内有15个阅览室，其中电子阅览室和多媒体阅览室拥有110个阅览座位，有工作人员71人。18人拥有硕士学位；其中正高职3人，副高职23人。另有设在各学院及研究中心的资料室12个，与学院、中心共管。
通过大连医科大学图书馆近年来在随书光盘的管理和利用的工作实践，探讨其更科学有效的随书光盘的管理模式，使其更有效地被读者所利用，发挥其时效价值。

Conclusions: the utilization of Dalian Medical University Library increased first and decreased afterwards in 2004-2009, but actually the ratio of books kept invariant or increased by a small margin.
