复合钢板就是指，单一或多种钢材以上的钢材通过，如：不锈钢复合钢板是采用爆炸、轧制或爆炸轧制等工艺，将不锈钢板与普通钢板（碳素结构钢、低合金高强度结构钢、优质碳素结构钢等）复合而成的钢板。它同时具有两种不同钢种的特性，既有不锈钢的耐蚀性，又有普通钢价格低廉、刚度好等优点。复合钢板是为了保护普通钢板免遭锈蚀，可用电镀、粘黏和喷涂的方法，在钢板的表面罩上一层防护“外衣”，形成复合钢板。 如果钢材与非金属材料结合，那不能简单的称为复合钢，因为无法判材料的主体是金属，不确定具备金属的磁性，导电性等诸多金属特性，所以明确成为：非金属复合钢板，通常复合钢的主体是金属以及钢材！
