塑限(plastic limit) 黏性土处于可塑状态与半固体状态之间的界限含水率，也就是可塑状态的下限含水率。用Wp表示，以百分率计。当土的含水率减小到低于塑限时，土就由可塑状态转为半固体(坚硬)状态，失去可塑性。测定塑限可采用搓滚法和液、塑限联合测定法。搓滚法是用手掌在毛玻璃板上搓滚土条，当土条直径达3 mm时产生裂缝并断裂，这时的含水率定为塑限。液、塑限联合测定法以圆锥入土深度为2 mm所对应的含水率为塑限。
塑限（Plastic limit，PL）是土壤呈现塑性的最低含水量. -- 液限，liquid limit，缩写LL，是土壤呈液态流动的最低含水量。
