基底核（英语：Basal ganglia，或称为基底神经节）是大脑深部一系列神经核团组成的功能整体。 它与大脑皮质、丘脑和脑干相连。目前所知其主要功能为控制自主运动。它同时还参与记忆、情感和奖励学习等高级认知功能。基底核的病变可导致多种运动和认知障碍，包括帕金森病和亨廷顿症等。人类大脑的冠状切面显示基底核主要组成部分的位置。包括:尾状核、壳、苍白球、丘脑下核、伏隔核和黑质.。
