地理课（geography），中小学学科科目。17 世纪中叶捷克教育家夸美纽斯在所著《大教学论》中首先提出在国语学校增设地理常识，在拉丁语学校增设地理等学科。中国学校设置地理课，始于 1839 年美国传教士布朗（S.R.Brown）创办的马礼逊小学堂。在中国人自办的学校中，京师同文馆于 1876 年后设有各国地图、地理金石等课。1878 年上海正蒙书院及其后许多新式学校均设舆地或地理。
