地球自由章动（free nutation of the Earth）是地球自转轴的一种摆动。除受日、月引力变化的影响外，还由于地球自转的主动量矩方向（俗称自转轴方向）与地球的中心惯量椭球的短轴（或称形状轴）不相重合，因而其自转轴在地球内部以地球质心为顶点，沿着一个张角约1秒的锥面绕短轴转动。
