以圆盘犁体为工作部件的耕地机械。圆盘通常为空心球面的一部分，其边缘磨出刃口以利切草和入土，圆盘单独支承在犁柱的轴承上，圆盘面分别与前进方向和铅垂方向成一角度，称为偏角α和倾角β。一般标准圆盘犁上，有圆盘犁体3～6个。工作时，机组前进，圆盘滚动切入土壤，土垡沿圆盘凹面上升同时靠刮土板的配合，使土垡翻转和破碎。圆盘犁适用于黏重、干硬、多石、多根的土壤；不需经常磨刃和更换、维修费用低、不形成坚实的沟底。虽覆盖残茬不够完全，但对于防止干旱地的水分流失和盐碱地的返盐有利。
