国际收支顺差亦称“国际收支盈余”。一国在一定时期内 (通常为一年) 对外经济往来的收入总额大于支出总额的差额。由贸易项目产生的国际收支顺差，反映一国的国际储备或对外支付能力的增强；由资本项目产生的国际收支顺差，反映资本的大量流入。国际收支的巨额顺差也有不利的经济影响，主要表现在： 外汇储备过多会造成资金闲置浪费，不利于本国经济发展；储备货币汇率下跌时，外汇储备会遭受损失；一国的外汇储备增加，本币发行也必然相应增加，从而产生潜在的通货膨胀压力；本币若是可兑换货币，顺差将使外汇市场上对本国货币求大于供，易受抢购冲击；本国货币被迫升值，使出口处于不利的国际竞争地位。
