四堡乡坐落于连城北部省道建文线上，巍峨的鳌峰山脚下，处于连城、长 汀、清流、宁化四县边缘，古有“四县共靠”之意，故而得名“四堡”。全乡土地总面积58.78平方公里，地形呈南北走向，被东西两峰山环抱着，全乡共有8个村委和1个林场，20个自然村，133个村民小组，共3784户，16716人。
