在焊接过程中，气体和助焊剂渗入焊锡中，经常会出现空洞现象。外面完全被锡包裹着的空洞肉眼是检查不出来的。 当焊锡凝固后，空洞如果破裂则就成了一个喷孔。在焊锡表面的喷孔很不规则，若喷孔比较大时，焊接处的焊锡就很少，焊接强度降低，这样就产生了一个主要的缺陷。
