唐碑书法是正楷书，从魏晋南北朝以来，汉隶逐渐演变成楷书，楷书的字形结构，统一于唐代，所以在书法史上有秦篆。嵩山嵩阳书院西南草坪上高达九米的《大唐嵩阳观纪圣德感应颂》，李林甫撰文（《徐霞客游记》中记载为“又则为唐碑，裴迥撰文，徐浩八分书也”），裴迥篆额，徐浩书，刻于唐天宝三年（公元744年）二月，碑高9米，宽2.04米，厚1.03米。碑刻石质坚硬细腻，雕工极为精致，是我国唐碑的优秀代表作之一，也是现存最大的唐碑。
