呃逆即打嗝，指气从胃中上逆，喉间频频作声，声音急而短促。是一个生理上常见的现象，由横膈膜痉挛收缩引起的。健康人也可发生一过性呃逆，多与饮食有关，特别是饮食过快、过饱，摄入很热或冷的食物饮料、饮酒等，外界温度变化和过度吸烟亦可引起。呃逆频繁或持续24小时以上，称为难治性呃逆，多发生于某些疾病。
