吸能反应(endoergic reaction,endergonic reaction)是指需要引入能量的化学反应。常见于生物化学反应中的酶原激活过程。吸能反应是需要吸收能量的化学反应。代谢物进行各种合成反应通常是需要吸收能量的反应。自由能变化ΔG为正值，因而，不可能独立完成。在体内必须与氧化分解而出现的放能反应偶联，将部分自由能转移给吸能反应。ATP的生成与分解在其间起了关键作用。
