后下，中药学术语。指一种煎药法。有些药物煎久宜失去功效，故在其它药物快要煎好时才下，稍煎即可。如气味芳香的药物薄荷、木通、藿香、砂仁、钩藤、豆蔻、杏仁等，内含挥发油，煎煮过久，则因有效成分挥发而失效。又如大黄后下，可使其泻下作用更强。
