昆虫的口器是由头部后面的3对附肢和一部分头部结构联合组成，主要有摄食、感觉等功能。蜘蛛的口器包括两对附肢（蜘蛛不是昆虫，为蛛形纲），昆虫的口器包括上唇一个，大颚一对，小颚一对，舌、下唇各一个。上唇是口前页，1块（其内有突起，叫上舌）。舌是上唇之后、下唇之前的一狭长突起，唾液腺一般开口于其后壁的基部。大颚、小颚、下唇属于头部后的3对附肢。
