多晶材料因塑性变形后的晶粒取向偏离非随机分布的状态。金属在塑性变形过程中,因受到外界热与力的作用和受内部各晶粒间的相互作用及变形发展的限制,各晶粒要相对于外力轴发生转动,结果大多数晶粒聚集到某些取向上来,从而形成变形织构。拉伸过程中晶体的转动使滑移方向力图转向平行于拉伸轴向。压缩变形时,晶体的转动使滑移面力图转向垂直于压力轴向。除滑移变形外,机械孪生、扭折等变形机构都能使晶粒发生取向的变化。
