原质体(proplastid)亦称为前质体，原色素体。为叶绿体、白色体、有色体等质体的前身（或前驱）结构。仅由内膜和外膜构成，膜内是少量的基质和DNA,但是没有LHC蛋白、叶绿素和电子传递系统。
