原生黄土又称老黄土,是干旱、半干旱气候条件下形成的一种特殊的第四纪陆相沉积物。主要由疏松的粉砂粒构成,灰黄色,富含易溶岩及钙质结核,柱状节理发育,能保持直立陡壁,遇水易崩解,并具湿陷性。
