水稻老根局部结构 厚壁组织的一种。是厚壁组织中的细长且厚的细胞，可聚集成为机械组织。分布于植物体的几乎所有部分。在单子叶植物茎中存在于皮层内，特别在周边部位以片段的或连续的形式存在，在包围于维管束周围形成维管束鞘。存在于木质部和韧皮部内时，分别称为木纤维和韧皮纤维。
门级以下瘤胃内最多的是拟杆菌、厚壁菌门、螺旋体和纤维菌门。
