船舶的压载水舱（ballast tank）是放置压载水的船舱，用于调整船舶的重心位置、浮态和稳性。可解决船舶在航行过程中因油水消耗、重心升高而导致的稳性不足或吃水不适当的问题。所谓“压载”是指用于增加稳定性的重物。装载压载水的船舱就是压载水舱。在潜艇或车客渡船中，压载水舱还可起调节平衡的作用。
