升结肠（ascendingcolon），也叫上行结肠，下端接盲肠，上缘在肝下与横结肠相连，长12～20cm；前面及两侧有腹膜遮盖，使其固定于腹后壁及腹侧壁；前方有小肠及大网膜和腹前壁；后方借疏松结缔组织与腹后壁相连，由上向下有右肾，腰背筋膜，内侧有十二指肠降部、右输尿管，手术分离较困难。升结肠的功能是推动食物消化吸收，它的病与健康，直接影响到营养的消化与吸收。
