区域联防，顾名思义，乃联合防守之意。它分站位联防和对位联防，如果与盯人结合，还可以变化成混防（混合防守），联防与盯人的最大不同，就是盯人以防人为最终目的，而联防则以防球为最终目的。把区域联防和人盯人防守两种战术融为一体，比人盯人防守更具有集体性、区域联防防 守更具有针对性。
