勒脚是建筑物外墙的墙脚，即建筑物的外墙与室外地面或散水部分的接触墙体部位的加厚部分。也可这样定义：为了防止雨水反溅到墙面，对墙面造成腐蚀破坏，结构设计中对窗台以下一定高度范围内进行外墙加厚，这段加厚部分称为勒脚。
