助剂（auxiliaries；additives） 在医学中定义是生产药品和调配处方时所用的赋形剂和附加剂，即除了主要药物活性成分以外一切物料的总称，是药物制剂的重要组成成分。在工业生产中，为改善生产过程、提高产品质量和产量，或者为赋予产品某种特有的应用性能所添加的辅助化学品。又称添加剂。但作为产品基体的重要成分，对产品形态、结构、性能产生重大影响的大剂量补加物，一般不划入助剂的范畴。
