动稳定性（dynamic stability），简称动稳性，是指船舶在动态外力作用下，计及倾斜角速度的稳性。以倾斜过程中复原力矩所做的功来度量。船舶由正浮状态倾斜到某一横倾角时，由于使船倾斜的外力的性质不同，船舶倾斜角速度有时可忽略不计，有时需计及。若倾斜时有角速度，当使船倾斜的外力所做的功完全由复原力矩的功抵消时，船舶的倾斜角速度变为零而停止倾斜。
