刺血疗法是在中医基本理论指导下，通过放血祛除邪气而达到和调气血、平衡阴阳和恢复正气目的的一种有效治疗方法，适用于“病在血络”的各类疾病。刺血方法主要有络刺、赞刺及豹文刺法，后世又有发展。现代临床刺血，都应在常规消毒后进行，手法宜轻、浅、快、准，深度以0.1～0.2寸为宜。一般出血量以数滴至数毫升为宜，但也有多至30～60毫升者。
