肾小管的近端小管可分为曲部（近曲小管）和直部（近直小管）两段，近曲小管，其上皮细胞腔面有刷状缘，电镜下，可见刷状缘由大量较长的微绒毛整齐排列构成，使细胞游离面的表面积明显扩大（两肾近曲小管表面积总计可达50~60 ）。刷状缘的细胞膜中有丰富的碱性磷酸酶和ATP酶，参与细胞的重吸收功能。
