刚果红，化学名为：二苯基-4，4’-二（偶氮-2-）-1-氨基萘-4-磺酸钠，为棕红色粉末，溶于水呈黄红色，溶于醇呈橙色。用于作为酸碱指示剂，变色范围为3.5到5.2，碱态为红色，酸态为蓝紫色。也用于诊断淀粉样病变。
