出票是指出票人签发票据并将其交付给收款人的行为。出票人在票据上的签章不符合《票据法》等规定的，票据无效: 承兑人、保证人在票据上的签章不符合《票据法》等规定的，其签章无效，但不影响其他符合规定签章的效力; 背书人在票据上的签章不符合《票据法》等规定的，其签章无效，但不影响其前手符合规定签章的效力。
出票人可以在支票上记载自己为收款人。
