凤眼莲，拉丁文名（Eichhornia crassipes.）雨久花科、凤眼蓝属浮水植物。 喜欢温暖湿润、阳光充足的环境，适应性也很强，具有一定的耐寒能力。凤眼莲茎叶悬垂于水上，蘖枝匍匐于水面。花为多棱喇叭状，花色艳丽美观。叶色翠绿偏深。叶全缘，光滑有质感。须根发达，分蘖繁殖快，管理粗放，是美化环境、净化水质的良好植物。 在生长适宜区，常由于过度繁殖，阻塞水道，影响交通。
