冷硬铸造，是一种铸造方法，使铁铸件一部分的表面层快速冷却，增加硬度，提高耐磨性。一般用于铸造车轮、轧辊等。 如铸造轧辊时，辊身表面须有高的硬度，故铸型中这部分的型腔须用金属（钢铁）制成。辊颈表面的硬度不宜高，故这部分的型腔仍用型砂做成。将适当化学成分的铁水浇入这种特制铸型中，则与金属型腔接触的铁水冷却较快，成为有白口铁组织的表面层，这层底下的铁液以及与砂型接触的铁液（指辊颈部分）冷却较慢，保持正常的灰铸铁组织。这样获得冷硬铸件。
