冷东，男，汉族，1968年生，吉林省长春市人。香港大学博士，现为广州大学人文学院副院长，历史系主任，教授、硕士生导师，美国亚洲研究会会员、马来西亚黄雅烈博士高等学院客座研究员、中国明史学会理事，广州地方史学会副会长、广东省历史学会理事。
